Mini Escape Bike Routes
Mini Escape Youth Bike Course
The course for the Mini Escape Youth bike is different from last year's inaugural course. We changed the location of the bike to run transition area, making it a little easier and safer. Youth will mount their bikes and ride a park path up the hill toward the park pavilion. The youth bike for ages 9-12 is 4 miles long and now includes two loops around the Missouri Department of Natural Resources headquarter building.
Turn-byTurn Directions for Mini Escape Youth Bike Course
Youth cyclist follow the park path up the hill, past the white stone house (concert ticket office) and stay on the Jefferson City Greenway Trail that parallels Riverside Dr.
Follow the path behind the Department of Natural Resources headquarters until it connects with Riviera Dr.
Then follow Riviera to Riverside Dr.
Turn left onto Riverside Dr.
Follow Riverside back toward the park, but after passing the Kenneth Kirchner State School and a residence on the left, turn left back onto the park path and turn left onto Jefferson City Greenway Trail. This is a partial second loop of the course.
Take the Greenway once again around the Department of Natural Resources building and follow the route back to Riverside Dr.
At Riverside Dr. and Ellis-Porter Dr., turn left. Finish the bike portion at the bike/run transition area in the furthest parking lot east of the park pavilion.
Mini Escape Kid's Bike Course
The kids’ bike course for ages 5-8 is the same distance as last year and remains within the park, ending at the bike/run transition in the parking lot east of the park pavilion at the top of the hill.
