Bike Course
As many of you know the Santa Cruz area and particularly West Cliff Drive were severely impacted by the January through March storm in 2023. This created a significant impact to both run and bike courses in the area. We have been told that repairs should be done by August 2025.
Our hope is to return to a bike course that is similar to the course prior to 2023. We will be working with the City of Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Police Department to create a new course that is safe, avoids road construction, and gives better access to residents during the race.
Since we can not predict possible storm damage in 2025, the new bike course will be posted late sprint / early summer.
Approximate bike distances for the triathlons, duathlons, and aquabikes will be:
- Super Sprint: 5-6 Miles
- Sprint: 10-12 Miles
- International: 20-24 Miles
