Description
The Boy Scouts of America Troop 234, Tulare, CA., is proud to host the TriTulare events and welcomes you for a Saturday morning filled with good times and wonderful challenges. We are excited to host these events, and hope to help you find fulfillment in your active lifestyle.
TriTulare Sprint Triathalon
This will be a quick 400 yard pool swim, followed by a flat and fast out and back 8.5 mile bike. The out and back run will also be flat, and will join the Santa Fe Trail. It will be 2.9 miles. (Just short of a 5K) The finish will take place on the Tulare Western track after a finishing lap on the track. The first wave will begin at 8 a.m.
Duathlon
The Duathlon will start between the second and third swim waves. Feel free to run and bike for a personal best or walk with a group of friends. It will begin with 2 laps around the track and then follow the same course as the bike and run sections of the triathalon. It is a flat 0.5 mile run, 8.5 mile bike, and 2.9 mile run and will join up with the Santa Fe trail. The Duathlon will begin at 8:15 a.m.
TriTulare Relay Triathalon
This is a new event for TriTulare. The Relay Triathalon is at the same time and place as the Sprint Triathalon. You can compete with three members, each in one leg of the course, or two members, with one in two legs of the course.
Kids Triathalon
This will be for youth 13 years of age or younger. It will take place after the last participant has finished the sprint triathalon. The race will consist of a 50 yard swim, followed by a one mile bike. The run will be 1/4 mile (one lap around the Western track). Every participant will receive an award. The kids race is scheduled to start after the triathlon racers have finished. It is scheduled to start at 10:30 am.
