Course - Half 70 1/3
Swim Course 1.2 Miles
The Swim Course diamond shaped swim. 2 laps around all 4 buoys. The smaller area helps us provide stronger support for this long distance. The first buoy is 250 meters away then the second is 232 Meters, the third 232 Meters, the fourth 250 Meters. The total around the diamond shape is .6 of a mile.
Bike Course 56 Miles
The bike course goes completely around the lake. Though the lake is 50.2 miles around it we add a small out and back to make up the distance to get it to 56 miles for the first time around.Aid stations on this course are at Mile 16, 39, 56. Aid stations have Water Bottles, Powerade, Water and bathrooms. The route is fairly flat with some rollers on the East side of the lake.
Run Course 13.1 Miles
The run course is out and back one time. Runners leave the transition area and head out and back on Cisco Road. This is a flat and scenic route with Bear Lake on the Westside and Mountains on the Eastside. Aid stations are 1.55 to 1.8 miles apart and they are as follows: Start, Mile 1.55, 3.1, 4.825, 6.55, 8.25, 10, 11.55.
Aid Stations have an assortment of Gels, Granola Bars, Candy, Oranges, Bananas, water, electrolyte and more.
Finish Line - Includes Two Hot Soups, Bread, Ice Cream, Peanut Butter, Oranges, Bananas.
Transition Area Layout
The reason for the format we use in the transition area is to allow every spot in the transition to be equal distance to exits. If you are closer to the Bike Out you will be farther from Run Out.
