Wayfinders for 10K and 5K Run Routes - 7:00 am - 11:00 am - Wayfinders are an incredibly important volunteer position that keeps runners on the correct route. Wayfinders are positioned with 2+ individuals in assigned locations along the race routes to help guide and cheer on participants. This task is perfect for Groups!

1K Kids' Run and Event Teardown/Clean-up Volunteer Positions High Priority

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

8:00 am - 11:30 am - Volunteers are stationed at pre-assigned locations along the 1K Kids' route to cheer on participants and direct the runners. After the 1K Kids' Run is completed, volunteers assist with cleaning up and breaking down the event set-up. Perfect for Families and Groups!

Like to get your hands dirty? Work in the Heart of the Park preparing the 10K, 5K and 1K Kids' Routes for the race! Possible projects include mulching, leaf raking, surface water clean up, trail raking, painting, and weeding.

We're looking for groups to help cheer participants as they start the run and as they cross the finish line. School cheer, dance or band groups are perfect to motivate our runners big or small! Email volunteer@hermannpark.org for more information

Medal Distribution High Priority

Medal Distribution Volunteer
Time: 8:00–10:00 AM

Help us celebrate participants as they cross the finish line at Hermann Park Conservancy’s Run in the Park! Medal Distribution Volunteers will greet runners and walkers at the finish area and hand out finisher medals following the 5K, 10K, and Kids’ Run.

Volunteers should be energetic, welcoming, and comfortable standing for the duration of the shift. This is a fun, high-energy role and a great opportunity to congratulate participants and help create a memorable finish-line experience.

Responsibilities include:

Distribute finisher medals to participants as they complete their race
Cheer on and congratulate runners and walkers
Help keep the medal distribution area organized and moving smoothly
Assist event staff with light setup, restocking, and cleanup as needed

Please arrive ready to be outdoors and help us make the finish line a fun and positive experience for everyone!
