Transition Area - Race Day High Priority

Details

Volunteers will body mark athletes with their bib #s on each arm below the shoulder and mark their right leg with their race division, Mark R (Relays), A (Athena), BR (Bike/Run),
or Age # (age of athlete). The transition area will be monitored by volunteers to ensure that it remains safe, secure and that the athletes stay planted at their station until its' time to line up.

Swim Course - Race Day High Priority

Details

Pool volunteers will assist swimmers entering the pool. Dedicated teams of swim volunteers will be positioned at the swim start and swim exit to perform a manual count using a hand counter.

Bike Course - Race Day

Details

Volunteers will be situated along the route with law enforcement officers to control traffic and promote safety. El Paso Police Department officers shall control traffic and be posted at high traffic intersections while volunteers will be used primarily to guide participants along the correct course and advise vehicles of controlled intersections.

Luna start line, out and back on Piedras, then west and out back on Alabama to Arizona, left on Ochoa, left onto Rio Grande, Left on Elm to Federal and back to Transition.

Run Course - Race Day High Priority

Details

The entire course will be volunteer supported at all corners and participants will be able to visually spot volunteers during the entire course. Volunteers will handout silicone bracelets to athletes. Volunteers will also manage two water stations: one inside the transition area the other on Cooper and Luna along the sidewalk.

Finish Line - Race Day High Priority

Details

Volunteers will help setup Inflatable Arch, chute for finish, tables with water, snacks and medals for finishers. Give out medals to finishers, collect timing chips from athletes. Teardown finish area after race.
