Race Day - On Course

Details

Shift time is from approximately 7:30am to 10:30am

During the event, volunteers will provide on-site race encouragement and directions. You will be assigned an intersection along the race course and given instruction on how to direct participants.

Note: Volunteer completion time will depend on the location where you are assigned.

Course Marshals - Havre de Grace

Details

Shift time is from approximately 7:30am to 11:30am

During the event, volunteers will provide on-site race encouragement and directions. You will be assigned an intersection along the race course and given instruction on how to direct participants.

Cycle Team

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Check in at Tydings Park at 7:00am.
Please allow time to park, gather your materials and arrive at Tydings at 7:00am

Cycle Team members will assist in leading or following the runners along the course. Volunteers will need to provide their own bicycle, helmet, and any other bike equipment.

Completion time will depend on the event you are assisting, but should be no later than 11:30am.

Aid Stations

Details

We are looking for some energetic groups to assist with the aid stations at the Susquehanna River Running Festival. If your running club, Scout group, etc may be interested, please contact Erin at eretford@charmcityrun.com.

**Sign up here if you are volunteering as an individual. Reporting time, expected end time, and your aid station location will be communicated prior to race day.**

Please allow time to park and walk to the water station. Check in with the volunteer coordinator via text. Ensure that you have transportation to and from the water station on race day.

All materials will be on-site when you arrive. Volunteers will set up the aid station before the race begins, then hand cups of hydration to runners as they pass. After the last runners pass, volunteers will clean up the aid station area and materials will be collected by the CCR team.

Race Day - Tydings Park

Details

Volunteer shift time is from 5:30am to 8:00am

Volunteers will assist with directing runners or handing out race materials to participants and answering participant inquiries. Once packet pickup ends, assist with cleaning up the area and check out with the CCR team lead. If you are able to stay and help with the post-race area as well, please feel free to sign up for both.

Start and Finish Line

At least 25 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteer shift time is from 7:00AM-12:00PM.
Please allow time to park and check in at Tydings Park at 7:00AM.

Volunteer tasks may include the following:
1. Setting up the finish line - preparing water bottles and medals for finishers
2. Assisting runners with finding the start area and their correct corral locations
3. Distributing medal and water bottles to participants as they complete their races
4. Monitoring and distributing post-race snacks to participants

Please note your volunteer assignment may change on race day, we will do our best to make any accommodations.
