Description

The original night time gravel grinder is back for your party pacing pleasure! This one is FREE for Club Spinistry members through the first 300 signups OR 7/15/24, whichever occurs first.

5/26 Update. Our hearts go out to our friends and supporters affected by the tornado throughout the Valley View area. Many families along the planned route will have tremendous burdens and obstacles to overcome. Valley View is special to us and we will be actively supporting the community to help it recover. Stay tuned for more updates on what we can all do to assist the area.

The ride starts and ends in the town square of Valley View, Texas, Routes will be marked and water tables will be along the routes. We highly encourage everyone to have GPS backup on a navigation device just in case. Free access to the Ride With GPS navigation app is included at no cost but riders need to know how to properly use the app ahead of time.

If you plan to visit the nearly world famous Whiskey Hollow Distillery you should be choose a route that will have you back in town by 10pm. Whiskey Hollow closes at 11. The plan is to start everyone at the same time of 7pm. We will be providing cold soft drinks and snacks at the end but riders are welcome to drop off their own after party supplies at checkin.

Routes will be available to registered riders the week of the event. Current mileage estimates are based on preliminary routes that are subject to change due to weather, road conditions and county maintenance.

55 mile, 40 mile and 30 mile options. The 30 miler is intended for newer gravel riders and will offer a ride leader/sweep/no drop option. All riders need to carry everything they need to complete the full distance on their bike just in case. Newer riders must know how to change a flat and carry everything they need for basic trailside maintenance on their own bikes. This is considered a self supported ride, there are no SAG vehicles.

For those looking for longer distances we suggest doing one loop of the 55 and then a loop of the the 30 miler for a total of 85 miles. If you choose this option you will be on your own. We won't be waiting for you at the end. Spinistry Central shuts down at Midnight.

Properly functioning headlights and taillights are required for all riders.

A significant portion of each paid entry is donated to World Bicycle Relief and to support the League of American Bicyclists. Each Club Spinistry membership contributes to both organizations as well. Thank you for helping to support cycling everywhere!
