Mad to Live Run Series Kickoff -- October Virtual Race

Join us this October for a special virtual race that will launch the Mad to Live Run Series! This Virtual 5K is a heartfelt tribute to some incredible educators, Katie Johnston Edgin and Rebecca Butts Hartsfield, who remained “mad to live” through their courageous battles with breast cancer. 

This event is more than just a race; it’s a chance for everyone passionate about breast cancer awareness and supporting educators to unite across communities. Whether you choose to walk, run, or race, you can participate at your own pace and from anywhere that suits you. Your involvement helps us honor these remarkable individuals and support a crucial cause. The Mad to Live Run Series will continue with its first in-person event in May 2025, aligning with Teacher Appreciation Week.
