Description
This race consists of the following: Individual, Team Competition, 3 Person Relay and a 5K.
Individual Competition: Sign up to participate as an individual. We will have age groups in 5 year increments.
The Sprint Triathlon Team option is included for the 11th year. The team competition will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed. This is NOT a relay, each team member will do all three components of the Sprint Tri. The overall race times of the three team members will be added together to determine a final team time. The team with the lowest total time in their division will win team trophies. Racers that participate on a team are still eligible for overall and age group awards.
The Sprint Triathlon 3 Person Relay competition will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed. Each Relay member will complete one component of the Sprint Tri. The three times will be added together to determine a final time. The Relay with the lowest combined time in their division will win the relay competition.
The 5K is open to both runners and walkers and will start at 7:15 a.m. Overall and age group awards will also be given out for the 5K.
Race time for the individual, Team and 3 Person Relay will start at 6:45 a.m. Transitions open at 5:45 a.m. and close at 6:45 a.m.
Dallas Athletes Racing will produce the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K. Multi sport enthusiasts in the North Texas area will recognize Dallas Athletes Racing as the company responsible for highly regarded local events such as the St. Patrick's Day, Caveman, TexasMan, Disco, and Monster triathlons.
The Sprint Triathlon event distances are:
Pool Swim - 200 yards
Bike - 16.3 miles
Run - 3.1 miles
The 5k only event distance is 3.1 miles.
Over 4,000 athletes have participated in the first 16 editions of the Pioneer Power Sprint. Profits from the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K will benefit the TWU soccer team.
Competitors in the 2025 Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K will receive a tech shirt and finisher's medal.
The post-race party will feature free food and drink (including the world-famous Dallas Athletes Racing pancakes), awards, giveaways, and vendor booths.

Triathlon Packet Pickup requirements:
Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event and conducted in accordance with USA Triathlon rules.
1. Each competitor must present a Photo ID.
2. Adult competitors MUST pick up their own packet! You cannot pick up for someone else or send someone to get your packet.
a. Each adult member of a relay team must pick up their own packet.
b. With proper identification, an adult can pick up for a minor.
3. Each competitor must be a current member of USAT or purchase a one-day USAT permit during the registration process.
4. Preregister before arriving at Packet Pickup.
5. Race Day Packet Pickup is limited to athletes living more than 20 miles from the nearest packet pickup location. These athletes can pick up their packet in Pioneer Hall race morning.
5k Packet Pickup (not triathletes)
- Anyone can pick up your packet.
- Maximum 5 packets per pick up.
- Preregister on your personal device before arriving at Packet Pick Up.
- Changing distances is not offered at Race Day Packet Pick Up
- Registration closes at 6:45 am - no exceptions.

Awards
Triathlon Event
The awards are three deep per age group along with Athena and Clydesdale (39 and under, 40+) with individual awards for overall male, overall female, overall master's female & male and overall grand master's female and male.
The breakdown of the triathlon age group awards are as follows:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 -69, 70-74, 75 - 79 & and 80 & over.
Masters:
Male – 40-59
Female – 40-54
Grand Masters:
Male – 60 and over
Female – 55 and over
Overall Finisher Awards and Age Group Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events.
You or a designated person must be present to pick up your award. Awards are not available for pick up or mailing post event.

Transition Map
Body Marking and Transition Opens at 5:45am
You will be body marked prior to entering transition by volunteers. You can also body mark yourself prior to arriving to the race. Have a friend write your race number (located on your bib) on your left upper side arm and left side of the calf. You may write your age on your right calf however this is not required.
Transition Closes at 6:45am
Swim Map
The swim portion is a 200-yard distance. Please line up according to your race number.
Bike Map
The Bike distance is 16.3 miles.
Run Map
The run distance is 3.1 miles (5k). This map is for both the Triathlon and 5k events.
