The Best of the Best Triathlon will have two divisions: CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION: You have to finish in the top TEN in your age group to qualify for this division. NEW OPEN DIVISION: You qualify if you have participated in any Dallas Athletes Racing event in 2022.

BEST OF THE BEST CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION: Be in the top 10 in your age group at any 2022 Dallas Athletes Racing Event and qualify to be in the Championship Division. You will receive an e-mail after each event letting you know you can sign up for the Championship Division.
BEST OF THE BEST OPEN DIVISION: NEW The Open Division is offered to our loyal Dallas Athletes Racing athletes that participated in a Dallas Athletes Racing triathlon but did not finish in the top ten in there age group. ONLY ATHLETES WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN A DALLAS ATHLETES RACING EVENT IN 2022 ARE ELIGIBLE.

WEATHER POLICY
In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the event course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.
If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.
We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.
Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.
Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

DAR Triathlons are USAT sanctioned events and conducted in accordance with USA Triathlon rules.
1. Photo ID is required.
2. Adult competitors MUST pick up their own packet! You cannot pick up for someone else or
send someone to get your packet.
a. Each adult member of a relay team must pick up their own packet.
b. With proper identification, an adult can pick up for a minor.
3. Each competitor must be a current member of USAT or purchase a one-day USAT permit during the registration process.
4. Preregister on your own device before arriving at Packet Pickup.
5. No event transfers or deferrals at Packet Pickup
5. No Race Day Packet Pickup unless:
a. Athlete lives more than 20 miles from the nearest packet pickup location.
b. Athlete has an email permission/confirmation from info@dallasathletesracing.com.
6. Race day online registration and Packet Pickup close 30 minutes before race start.
Dallas Athletes Racing has a no refund or transfer policy.

6:00 am – Turn off alarm
7:00 am – Transition Opens/Body Marking Begins
8:15 am – Transition closes
8:30 am – Race Starts
11:00am - Event Ends

Awards
AWARDS:
The awards will be Three deep per age group for Championship Division and the Open Division. Also there will be individual awards for overall male, overall female, overall masters female & male and overall grand masters female and male for both divisions.
The break down of age group awards are as follows:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 -69, 70-74, and 75 & over
Masters:
Male – 40-59
Female – 40-54
Grand Masters:
Male – 60 and over
Female – 55 and over
Overall Finisher Awards and Age Group Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events.
You or a designated person must be present to pick up your award. Awards are not available for pick up or mailing post event.
Best of the Best Transition Map
You will be body marked prior to entering transition by volunteers. You can also body mark yourself prior to arriving to the race. Have a friend write your race number (located on your bib) on your left upper side arm and left side of the calf. You may write your age on your right calf however this is not required.
