Women in Ultrarunning Program

We are committed to the growth of women in the sport of ultrarunning. Our goal is to achieve a 50/50 gender split in 100k and 100-mile races, addressing the current industry-standard distribution of 80% male / 20% female. We believe this can change through intentional policies that encourage more women to get involved in the sport and take the leap into their first ultra.

The Visit Beaver County Rabid Raccoon 100, with its loop course, is an excellent first 100k or 100-mile race. It offers ample opportunities for aid, predictable course conditions after the first loop, and easy crew access at every aid station.

For the 2025 Visit Beaver County Rabid Raccoon 100, we are introducing a special Women in Ultrarunning program. Here’s how it works:

1. Register for Your Event: Register for the 100 Mile or 100K.
2. Receive A Free 100 Mile/100K Entry for a Friend: You will be sent a special free entry code to share with another woman to join you in the 100K/100 Mile.
3. Spread the Word: Let your friend know that you have a free entry for her! Train with her & encourage her to embark on the 100K or 100 Mile journey with you!

Join us in making ultrarunning more inclusive and balanced. We look forward to seeing you at the start line!

Currently, this program is only for women in the 100 mile & 100k.
