Free Post Race Activities

Fishing

Fishing is available on our 17-acre lake.  You will need to bring your own fishing equipment.  PA state fishing license is required.

Hiking

Hiking the trails is a popular activity.  The "blue" trail climbs the mountain to the Appalachian Trail.  You can follow the "AT" to the old carriage road and return to Camp following the old carriage road down the mountain.  The loop is not quite 5 miles, but it will feel like it is!  Maps are available at the Welcome Center.

Live Band

Bring your lawn chair to the Miller Parade Field and enjoy the music of the Radio Active Munsters.  Donations for the band will be accepted.

Drive In Movie

Tune your car radio to hear the sound as you watch from your car.  A concession stand will be open for snacks.

Campsites

In our wooded campsites, you can set your tent on our 7'x9' wooden tent platforms to keep your tent off the ground.  If you have a larger tent, please let us know so we can place you in a site with more flat areas for ground tenting.  Every campsite has a pavilion with picnic tables, campfire rings, and a pit toilet latrine with running water.  There is no electric in the campsite, so bring a flashlight or lantern.  Vehicles will be required to remain in the parking lot for the entire weekend, so a small wagon or cart could be helpful in moving your personal gear to your site.  We will have a truck available at check-in to help move heavier luggage.  Hot showers are available at a minimal cost.  They will be sanitized after every use to ensure your safety.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITTED AT CAMP.

Zip LIne

Our big zip line will be available.  You will need to pre-register for this activity.  The 700' zip line will carry you from the launch tower high above the South side of the lake, over the lake to landing platform on the North side of the lake.  All equipment will be provided.  There are weight limits of 75-275 pounds as well as over the age of 11.  Zip Line is available as an add-on to your race registration.  Times available both Saturday and Sunday from 1-3pm

Check out the ride:

Climbing / Rappelling

Try your hand at climbing on the 43' tall climbing wall.  You will need to pre- register for this activity.   Our staff will encourage you to reach the top!  The view of the lake is amazing from the resting platform 40' above the ground.  After topping out, you will rappel back to the ground.  All equipment will be provided.  Must be over the age of 11.  Rappelling is a registration add on, and is available both Saturday and Sunday 3-5pm.

Kayak

Rent a kayak and paddle your way around our 17 acre lake.  You will need to pre-register for this post race activity as a registration add-on.

Volunteers Needed

Can you lend a few hours on either race day to help keep our athletes safe and pointed in the right direction out on the course?

To signup and volunteer either Sat or Sunday, please follow this link:   VOLUNTEER

**Camping arrangements can be made for Boy Scouts volunteering as a troop.
