Sonic Kids Triathlon Club

This program is designed to help your child be ready and complete the  Kids Rock Triathlon on August 28th .  All sessions will be held at Gwynedd Square Elementary School and taught by USA Triathlon Certified Coaches.  This program is designed to introduce youth to the multi sport opportunities within the region.   This program will focus on general conditioning, along with swim, bike, run, and transition skills to prepare for competition in youth triathlon. Weekly sessions will include drills and games with an emphasis on fun, competition, and sportsmanship. All participants must be able to proficiently swim at least 25 yards continuously and be able to ride and safely control a two-wheel bicycle. 

Ages 5 -12

You will get a training program to follow each month

We will have 18 total practices.  The bike/run practices will be at Gwynedd Square.  The swimming practice will be at North Penn YMCA.   You do not need to be a member of the Y to participate in the swim.

Bike/Run at Gwynedd Square (all Bike / Run practices are from 6-7pm)

Swim Practices at North Penn YMCA

June 11 - 5-6 pm

June 20 and 27 10-11 am

July 9 5-6pm

July 18 and 25 10-11 am

August 6 and 20 5-6 pm

For swim practices, we will break the group into 2 and have each group swim for 1/2 hour.   

You are responsible for bringing your child's bike, bike helmet, sneakers, and a water bottle.  Please note that bikes must be in good working condition with the tires pumped prior to the start of class.

We will do our best to hold each session.  Please understand if there is inclement weather we reserve the right to cancel the session and there may not be a make up class.

The goal race for this program is Scoogie Events Kids Rock Triathlon August 28, 2021.  There will be a discount code for this event provided for participants of this program.
