Description
PACK PINT RUN IS RUNNING THE HOLIDAY LIGHTS AT THE OKLAHOMA CITY ZOO!
Join us Thursday evening November 7th at 6:00 pm for an after hours evening of holiday Zoo fun. Registration is limited for this special event and will need to check in with Red Coyote staff to enter. Runners will access the zoo through the Bus Entry on the West side of the property, (see map below).
Celebrate the season with an amazing run / walk around the the holiday displays set up for the OKC Zoo's 2024 Safari Lights! Get a preview of the 2 mile drive through route before the attraction is opened for the season to auto traffic. The course is flat to gently rolling and suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities.
This run is different from the Summer Zoo PPR in that we'll start outside on 50th street and run down Richardson Drive to enter the Zoo property on the south side. We'll finish in the Bus Plaza courtyard where our Vendor Village will be set up. We ask that all runners meet back at the start no later than 7:00pm for post run activities. The zoo gates will close at 8:00 so we'll all be out by then.

Conservation, The OKC Zoo, and Red Coyote
Proceeds benefit Saving Animals From Extinction, (SAFE), a national Zoo-led conservation initiative. The OKC Zoo supports eleven unique programs for; African Painted Dogs, Asian Elephants, Anean Highland Flamingos, Cheetah, Giraffe, Lion, Ocelot, Monarch Butterflies, North American Songbirds, North American Turtles, and the Radiated Tortoise
Wristband Pick Up
To avoid long check in lines and delays at the Zoo, we will be having Wristband pick up at the Oklahoma City Store Location on Wednesday November 6th from 10-7 and Thursday, November 7th from 10-2. There will also be check in at the event but we STRONGLY SUGGEST EARLY PICK UP to avoid congestion.
Each registered participant will get an event wristband and ALL participants will need to have a wristband to enter the zoo. Runners over the age of 21 will receive a distinct color allowing one free beer from the Coop Ale Works tent. There will also be Body Armor electrolyte replacement drink available from Coca Cola Distributing.
Entering The Zoo
Runners will enter the zoo via the Bus Entrance on the west side of the Zoo. Check in with Red Coyote staff at the entrance gate.
ALL participants will be required to have a wristband to enter the Zoo.
About The Course
Runners will get to preview the OKC Zoo Safari Lights drive through course for 2024! The roads is wide, gently rolling, and suitable for runners of all abilities. Restrooms on the route will be open and available. Many animal buildings and habitats will be locked and it is important for runners not to stray from the designated areas on the course.
You can run the course a couple times to get the perfect distance. We ask that all runners meet back at the start no later than 7:00pm for post run activities.
