Lake Norman State Park Triathlon

Conveniently located just 6 miles from the Mooresville Exit off I-77, Lake Norman State Park provides Charlotte area participants with a race that's close-by yet rural in nature. Participants will be able to park immediately adjacent to the main race site. The park boasts one of the regions largest mountain biking network, offering over 30 miles of single-track trail and also contains a family campground with 32 sites.

The triangular shaped swim course starts and finishes on the beautiful sandy beach at Lake Norman State Park.
This will be a Time Trial start with participants starting every couple of seconds.

The 18 mile bike course will be conducted on the rural roads west of Troutman and south of Statesville.
There won’t be much traffic and there aren’t very many turns. Add to that the fact that the course is practically flat, and bike splits are sure to be fast.

The 4.5 mile run course stays entirely inside the park meaning no traffic and lots of shade.
