Pre-Race Meeting - 7:30am
A pre-race meeting will occur at 7:30am in the Transition Area. The race director will review the latest updates for the course, as well as basic event rules.
ALL Participants are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting, so be sure to pickup your race packet and have your gear setup in the Transition Area well before 7:30am.
The Swim
The swim will take place in Morse Reservoir. Participants will line up by bib #, with lower numbers going first. Your bib # will be determined by the swim ability you declare during registration. We will start swimmers every ~2 seconds, in a time-trial format.
The Elite Wave will start at about 7:58am, and is for those athletes that feel they can realistically finish in the top 3 overall. Athletes in the elite wave will only be eligible for overall awards, not age group awards.
The Duathlon
The first leg of the Duathlon will be a 2-mile run, and will utilize the first mile of the run course (out-and-back). Once returning to the Transition Area, duathletes will complete the rest of the event with the triathlon participants (15 mile bike + 3 mile run).
The Aquabike
Athletes in the Aquabike will complete the swim and bike with the triathletes. However, upon re-entering the Transition Area after the bike, the race will be over. Your final time will register as you cross the timing mats next to the Transition Area. Aquabike competitors do NOT finish under the inflatable arch.
Timing Devices
Each participant will receive a MyLaps ankle strap with timing chip. Make sure you have this in place before the race starts. NO STRAP = NO TIME
Ankle straps must be removed and given to an event volunteer immediately after finishing. If you do not attend the race, you must return your ankle strap by Wednesday, July 2 to one of the six convenient Runners Forum locations in the Indianapolis-area.
A $10 fee will be charged for lost/unreturned ankle straps.
Raceday Refueling
There will be two water/Gatorade stations located on the course. The first will be located at the run exit of the Transition Area and the second will be at the half-way point of the run course. Additional refreshments and snacks will be provided at the finish line.
Results
Results will be available for viewing, shortly after you finish with this RESULTS LINK. You can also scan the QR code on the wooden a-frame, located by the registration tent.
