All Stages:
Rule 1: Unplug your tunes.
For safety reasons your ears should remain uncovered. This will allow you to hear approaching traffic and grizzly bears!
Rule 2: Keep it clean.
YOU are responsible for cleaning up your trash. You will be docked minutes if caught throwing trash on the ground!
Rule 3: Stay to the right.
Bikers, just like driving a car stay on the right unless passing then quickly get back to the right. Be courteous and do not block those behind you.
Rule 4: Follow the courses.
Stay within the boundaries of the course. Kayaking, biking and running courses will be well marked. Do not cut corners!
PADDLE: KAYAKS 1. Any size or type of kayak is permissible. 2. Competitor must use a double-bladed paddle. 3. Kayaks may be powered by hand held paddles only. 4. Any competitor, when operating a kayak, shall wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (P.F.D.). Inflatable P.F.D. are not allowed. 5. When you come off the lake someone will move your kayak to a staging area. You will walk or run your bike to the mount line, then you may start pedaling. 5. Remember to hydrate while you are riding to prepare for the run. 6. Always be aware of traffic. In most, if not all cases you will be riding on roads that are open to public traffic. Never assume a driver sees you. 7. When you return do not ride to the staging area.
Dismount at the dismount line. Walk or run your bike to the staging area. Put your running shoes on and go!
PACE: RUNNING 1. Bib number should be facing forward. 2. Run through the gate. 3. Stay on the marked course and run on the left facing traffic. 4. Your legs will feel funny after riding your bike.
