Description
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Friends of the Missouri Breaks Monument (FMB) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have teamed together for the first-ever Missouri Breaks Triathlon. The event will take place within the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument and along the Wild and Scenic Missouri River. The triathlon starts with a 20 mile canoe/kayak, then a 5k foot race, and finishes with a 20 mile cycling portion.
Pre-race day registration on July 6th in Fort Benton is required for all participants. Athletes will be able to check-in from 10 AM- 8 PM, more information will be sent to registrants prior to race day.
FMB is a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on protecting and preserving the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument and the BLM is the federal agency that administers more than 247.3 million acres of public lands in the United States.
