Heatwave Classic Triathlon
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure safety of our employees, participants and volunteers the Heatwave Classic Triathlon has been cancelled for 2020. We regret the inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding. We are working on refunds for all participants. Refunds may be returned to your credit card or a check will be mailed. Please make sure your runsignup account has the correct address.
At this time we are planning to have the Heatwave Classic Triathlon in 2021. Hope to see you there.

Description
The 35th Annual Heatwave Classic will introduce a new bike course for 2020. The course will be 28 miles long and a looped course that will still include a return trip on The Natchez Trace. View the new bike course: Heatwave's New Bike Course The swim will start at 7:00 am on Saturday, June 6th in Hobby Cat Cove next to the transition area at Madison Landing. The run course will remain the same shaded run on Ridgeland's multi purpose trail. Also new in 2020 will be a Short Course Triathlon that will start at 8:00 am on Saturday, June 6th. The distances will be 1/4 mile swim, a 13 mile bike, and a 5K run. The swim start will also start in The Hobby Cat Cove as the intermediate swim. The bike course will leave the transition area and ride to The Natchez Trace via Post and Rice Road, you will bike to Overlook Point and turn around and bike back to the transition area via Old Canton Road, Rice Road and Post Road.
