Dead Carp 20K Run, 5K Run/Walk and Little Carp 1 Mile Presented by Dead River Coffee

The Dead Carp 20K Run and 5K Run/Walk offers a beautiful course with springtime temperatures ideal for running, and combines small-race feel with big-race perks. The course is an out and back and will pass over both the Dead and Carp Rivers, giving you the full scenic experience of Marquette's lakeshore. 

For those with longer distance ambitions, this “almost” half marathon is a great way to peak your spring training, or to prepare for a summer marathon. Use it as a RACE, training run, fun run, whatever you desire! For those interested in a shorter distance to tackle, there is also a 5K run/walk option. 

New to the event in 2024 will be the Little Carp 1 Mile Race! This race will be available to kids 12 and under 

Post race shindig to be held at Drifa Brewing!! Award ceremony, swag for all participants... a great event to kick off your summer racing

20K Run: Winner in each age bracket (15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) 

5K Run: Winner in each age bracket (10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) 

Post Race Food! Excited to announce that The Island Food Truck will be at this years' event serving up fresh food post race. Marquette Food Co-Op will also be providing post race Bananas! 

Packet Pick- Up: Thursday 5/9 at QCRC from 12-8pm. Friday 5-7pm at South Beach Parking Lot. Saturday 8-9:30am at the Start line in front of Drifa Brewing Company. 

The awards ceremony will begin between 12-12:15pm at Drifa Brewing Company. 

Proceeds from this event will be donated to CampUPeninsulin  which is a summer Youth Camp for kids from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with Type 1 Diabetes.
