How does it work?
Youth Triathlon INFO
Many are new to the sport of triathlon. The Lewisburg Youth Triathlon is an entry level youth TRI that introduces kids to the sport. The distances are relatively short, but still are a fun challenge for kids. Kids may opt to "move up" to the older age group distances if they choose.
How it works:
Order of a triathlon:
- Swim
- Bike
- Run
Overview:
- Competitors start the event in the pool and swim their respective distance
- Once swim is complete, competitors go to transition area where they put on their shirts, shoes and any other clothes they choose - NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN TRANSITION AREA
- ***Competitors must put on their helmet before moving their bike**
- Competitors walk their bike out of transition to the road to start the bike portion
- Once biking is complete, they return to the transition area where they remove their bike helmet and place their bike
- Competitors then leave transition area again and complete the run
- The run will conclude at the "finish" arch
