Join REPFIT Runners and Racing in Reston for a women-only training series. From novice walkers to seasoned sprinters, we offer tailored plans to help you conquer your 5k goals. Join us to unlock your fitness potential, whether you're taking your first steps or aiming to shatter your personal record.
Choose from our five training programs designed to meet you where you are and move you forward. Begin with the plan that aligns with your current abilities, then fine-tune your approach as needed. We'll be with you every step of the way, ensuring you cross the finish line with confidence.


5k Training Program Options:
1. Walk—You are new to exercise and want to connect with others in your community. You might have an injury, or life has gotten in the way, but you want to return to exercising.
2. Speed Walk—You currently walk briskly 2-4 times per week. You want to improve your fitness, but running is not for you.
3. Run/Walk—You would like to introduce running into your fitness routine, or the interval training of run/walk is more your speed. You would like a program that starts with intervals with more walking and switches to more running intervals as the weeks progress.
4. Run—You currently run 2-3 times per week. You like your pace and want to run with other women.
5. Advanced Run—You want to increase your running speed and improve your 5k time. You are interested in a group that includes speed work once a week.


Melissa Cooper is a certified RRCA run coach who has completed hundreds of races, including 15 marathons, one ultra, a RAGNAR run and trail, and many more. Melissa is passionate about bringing training programs to the community designed to help walkers and runners achieve their goals while minimizing the risk of injuries.


The WTF 5K is on November 24, 2024 at 9am - registration for this race is separate from the Training Program.
