2023 Storm the Fort Cancelled
The 2023 Edition of Storm the Fort has been cancelled. We are very disappointed we are unable to race for the cannon this year. After long discussions with our partners, we could not find a way that the race could be held. Stay tuned for exciting information about the race for next year!

Description
Storm the Fort Olympic - The Race for the Cannon enters its 12th year, with the premier event returning to its Olympic distance roots . A 2-lap rectangular swim course, followed by a rural rolling 40k mile bike ride (no major climbs). The run course will be a 10k course consisting of 1.5 loops on the Kingston greenway, with the first lap running past famous Fort Southwest Point, the second lap finishing in The Fort. The run course will include fully stocked aid stations ~ every mile. Soft cotton shirts, race logo DeFeet socks, and finisher medals to all participants, miniature cannon awards to age groups, and the coveted genuine cannonball awards to overall/masters/grand masters male and female winners. USAT sanctioned event, expected participation-150.
Packet Pickup: Thursday, August 24--Fleet Feet Sports, 11619 Parkside Dr., Knoxville, 4-6pm.
Friday, August 25, Fort Southwest Point, 1226 S. KY St, Kingston, 5 to 8pm.
Packets may also be picked up on race morning at 58 Landing (transition area/swim start), HWY 58 South, Kingston, starting at 6am.
