What is Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)? A motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to speak. Children with the diagnosis of apraxia of speech generally have a good understanding of language and know what they want to say. However, they have difficulty learning or carrying out the complex sequenced movements that are necessary for intelligible speech.

Who can race? All Skill Levels of walkers, joggers, and runners are encouraged and welcome.
It's Race Time!
This is a VIRTUAL EVENT!
When you feel prepared to officially complete your 2025 Apraxia Kids 5K Voice Venture:
- Select any day in January to be your race day.
- Wear blue or an Apraxia Kids shirt. Don't forget to wear a race bib!
- Race at a location most comfortable to you - a treadmill, in your neighborhood, in a park, on a city sidewalk, or wherever is safe and offers you the best experience.
- Take photos - log back in after the race and share your photos on this race site!
Print your own Race Bib:
- Log into your profile
- Under Upcoming Events - Look for the Apraxia Kids 5K Voice Venture and click "View Digital Bib". Click Print!
- Cut out your Race Bib and pin to yourself while you race. If you are racing in honor of someone, use a marker and write their name on the bib!
Submit your official results online! Official Race Results are Due January 31, 2025!
- Log into your race profile
- Under Upcoming Events - Look for the Apraxia Kids 5K Voice Venture event and click "Submit Virtual Results"
