The 15th annual Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run to benefit Rochester-area food pantries - November 2, 2024!
Join us in-person or virtually for the 10k run, 5k run/walk or the 1k run/walk to benefit local food pantries! You’ll feel great knowing your registration fee will go directly to Rochester-area organizations providing food, hope and dignity for hungry people.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors and volunteers, the 2023 Grocery Run raised more than $66,500 for Rochester-area food pantries. We hope to do even better this year! Please join us and make a difference!
Schedule
The live events start at 8:00 a.m. on November 2nd, 2024 at Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs St., Rochester. Virtual participants can choose any distance to run, bike, walk or stroll and complete their event anytime, anywhere November 1st-3rd!. The 10k and 5k will leave together at 8am. The 1k will leave around 9:10 a.m.. Following the return of the 1k at around 9:25, we will have the Boogie for Broccoli for our littlest runners. This is a free 50 yard run with Grocery Guy and Gal.
Register by midnight October 6th to receive your preferred size, super-soft performance-fabric commemorative race t-shirt!
5k Info
5K participants will enjoy the same fast, flat urban route along East Avenue and Court St., then travel out and back on the east side of the Riverway Trail with amazing views of the river and the city!
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and master's winners, M/F/NB (must complete 5k in 22 minutes to be eligible).
Age group awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place M/F/NB in 5-year age groups.
10k Info
10k participants will love our fast, flat course down beautiful East Avenue, along Court St. to the east side of the Riverway Trail. Enjoy scenic views of the Genesee River all the way to the University of Rochester! Then return on the west side of the Riverway Trail with amazing views of downtown Rochester.
10K Participants must be able to keep a 14-minute mile pace and finish within an hour and thirty minutes. Note: the reason for this timing limit is a requirement by RPD to be able to safely re-open streets to traffic.
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and master's winners M/F/NB (must complete 10k in 44 minutes to be eligible).
Age group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place M/F/NB in 10 year age groups.

We strongly encourage you to pick up materials ahead of race day to help us support social distancing and reduce crowds on race day.
