The Cereal City KIDS Triathlon takes place at Willard Beach in Battle Creek, MI. There are two course options to choose from based on ability level, not age. This event is a fun, untimed event. Our goal is to promote healthy, active kids and develop a love of multi-sport events. Parents are more than welcome to time their own children for those that have a competitive drive. Before the event, please practice with your children each of the three disciplines (swim, bike, and run) as well as transitioning from one event to the other (I.E. putting socks and shoes on wet feet, taking off helmets, etc.) 

Children will be able to choose from the following two course options depending on ability, not age. You do not need to commit to the course option until the day of the event. 

Course Options:

• Course 1 will consist of a 100m swim, a 1 mile ride and a .5 mile run
• Course 2 will consist of a 150m swim, a 1.5 mile bike and a 1 mile run

 

*Virtual option available as well. Virtual triathlon must be completed by September 5th. Submit completion information for virtual events HERE.

 

 

Because we believe all children should have the opportunity to participate in the Cereal City Triathlon, we are now offering scholarships to assist those who may not otherwise be able to participate. The Cereal City Triathlon is allowing us to provide this opportunity to all area youth regardless of their financial situation.
