Description
The Waterman’s Triathlons are nestled on the edge of the Eastern Shore of Maryland in picturesque Rock Hall, MD. Just 18 miles from Baltimore “as the fish swims” (put your bike rack on a boat!), Rock Hall is one of the friendliest, most laid back towns anywhere…and is full of history. George Washington took the Annapolis Ferry to Rock Hall nearly ten times before heading to Philly on horseback to work out America’s Independence! The time trial swim takes place in Rock Hall Harbor on the Chesapeake Bay, protecting athletes from any serious wind or chop. The bike course is a triathlete’s dream with beautiful ribbons of pavement and wide shoulders throughout most of the rural course. The run course is pancake flat and takes athletes through the quaint nautically themed neighborhoods and side roads of Rock Hall, MD.
This race is worth the trip to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Check out our race videos HERE and see why athletes consistently come back year after year to race. Don’t miss out, register today.

Race Comments
Be part of the great experience. Here are some comments from last year’s Waterman's Triathlon Festival race.
"Waterman’s was a great experience all around. The protected harbor swim in slightly brackish water was a pleasure. Nice roads for the flat ride with very few cars around. Great staff and volunteers – A very well run event start to finish." bib# – 240 |
"Waterman’s is a great course to go for your PB! It is also great for novices: flat and fast with plenty of spectators on the run. The town is extremely welcoming and the location is a fun place to spend a weekend, especially if you enjoy food and drinks with a view of the harbor or swimming in the bay." bib# – 82 |
"Waterman’s Triathlon is a fantastic triathlon experience for beginning and experienced triathletes alike. Rock Hall is a small and welcoming community that provides a great back drop for the event." bib# – 10 |

Swim Start
Time Trial Swim Start: Kinetic Multisports races utilize a time trial swim start. We'll start two (2) athletes at a time every few seconds. Athletes line up based on swim and overall finish times, faster up front, slower in the back to create a smoother race for everyone.
Elite Box Start: In conjunction with our time trial swim starts we are excited to announce the official addition of the Elite Box Start at select races. If you are in contention to get Top 20 Overall Male/Female or just want to race up front, this is for you. Simply work your way to the front of the swim start area on race day. We'll get you lined up and started first, then athletes two at time every few seconds thereafter. The Elite Box Start concept worked well at many races last year and we are excited to add this feature to more races.
