Description

THIS IS NOT A REGISTRATION WEBSITE FOR THE CHICAGO TRIATHLON.  THIS IS A FUNDRAISING WEBSITE TO SUPPORT ALEX, SARA AND ELIOT IN THEIR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY THROUGH TRANSPORTATION AND RESEARCH GRANTS.  PLEASE CONSIDER BECOMING A FUNDRAISER FOR TEAM BALL, BREAST AND BUTTERFLY OR MAKING A DONATION TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS.

Ball, Breast and Butterfly, our triathlon relay team name, is a description of the types of cancer that the three of us are respectively battling - testicular, breast and thyroid (the thyroid gland often being described as butterfly-shaped). As active people before our cancer odysseys began, we are doing the Chicago Triathlon to continue our active lives both symbolically and in actuality. We all are doing well at this point in our care and we celebrate our good fortune. We also celebrate our good fortune to have access to and the means to afford excellent healthcare. In service to those that don’t, we are raising money for an American Cancer Society program that provides travel and transportation grants to those who are less financially fortunate and need to travel to receive their cancer care. Please help us support them by making a donation.  If you would like to join our fundraising campaign, please select the "I want to virtually support this campaign" and you will also get a fundraising page that you can collect donations to support Transportation and Lodging Grants for the American Cancer Society. We greatly appreciate your generosity!
