We’d like to share an important update regarding the 12th Annual Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon.

The event has been rescheduled from Saturday, April 25, 2026, to Saturday, May 9, 2026. The race will still begin at 7:15 AM EDT and will continue to be held at Adventure Island Water Park (10001 N. McKinley Drive, Tampa, FL 33612).


Updated Packet Pick-Up Information

Packet pick-up will now take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Adventure Island Water Park.

RunSignup will send notice to registered participants, and you will have the option to receive a refund or participate on the new date if it works for you!

Event: 12th Annual Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon at Adventure Island
Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 7:15 AM
Parking Address: 4241 E. Bougainvillea Ave, Tampa, FL 33612. Follow signs to lot.

Entry Fee: 

  • 1/14/2026 - 2/16/2026 - $45.00
  • 2/16/2026 - 3/31/2026 - $50.00 
  • 4/1/2026 - 5/8/2026 - $55.00

All registered participants will receive a complimentary “Stay & Play” ticket to Adventure Island (valid on race day only). Please do not add a 'Stay & Play' ticket for registered race participants. Additional Adventure Island Stay & Play tickets available for purchase during registration at a discounted price ($42). Sales for these tickets will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, May 8.

Registration fee also includes a participant t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and other 'swag bag' items. 

 

In an effort to allow for more participants, we have moved away from two separate age divisions to a three-wave format. The three waves will be categorized by age range so that participants are still competing alongside others in their age group. Also, as a reminder, there will no longer be a post-race trophy ceremony. The Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon is a FUN-raising event with a focus on fun, finishing and fundraising. In recent years, the trophy ceremony has overshadowed our mission of creating an unintimidating and exciting experience for all while helping spread Gavin Lambert’s “finisher’s spirit” and supporting Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), our race beneficiary. All funds traditionally allocated to trophies will be repurposed and included in the overall charitable donation to FARA.
