Great Southwestern Sprint Triathlon Series. (GSTS)

The GSTS was originally formed back in 2016 as the South Western Colorado Triathlon Series it
was designed to be a small circuit that Triathlon enthusiasts could join for fun and camaraderie.
We originally included only Southwestern Colorado cities but, in recent years have expanded to
New Mexico to create a fun regional series on the Western Slope of the Rockies. Below are the
dates for this year’s events;

August, 3 2024 – Chile Harvest Sprint Triathlon – Socorro, NM (Please see tab up top for specific event information)

August, 24, 2024 – Gunnison High Sprint Triathlon – Gunnison, CO (Please see tab up top for specific event information)

September, 7, 2024 – Splashland Sprint Triathlon – Alamosa, CO (Please see tab up top for specific event information)

September, 28 2024 – Black Canyon Sprint Triathlon – Montrose, CO (Please see tab up top for specific event information)

All of the courses have their own character and include beautiful scenery along the course, all
of the swim segments are in lap pools. While some people participate in our races to train for
larger and longer events, most people sign up to have some fun and get a little exercise. All
GSTS competitors, team or individual get a 10% discount on their entry fees for signing up for
all four races. We know how hectic life can be and how easy it is to find yourself booked on a
particular date so we have decided to calculate the winners of the GSTS based on each
participant’s 3 best races, on the chance that some competitors may not make all four races.
Anyone who competes in the series will win a cool pull-over shirt, fleece hat and other goodies
with all race logos and GSTS logos. There will also be ribbons for the top three competitors in
each category. We have categories for Men’s and Women’s individual, and a team category.
