Description
Welcome Racers!
We are excited to announce a new chapter for the Heel and Crank Duathlon! This year, I am honored to take on the role of Race Director. Donna, who has done a phenomenal job as the previous Race Director, has decided to step down after many successful years of organizing and leading this event. She has poured her heart into making the race a cherished tradition, and I am grateful for her guidance and support as I step into this role. I look forward to building on her legacy and continuing to make the Heel and Crank Duathlon an event that racers love and look forward to each year!
This year, we’re working hard to host the race in Research Park, a stunning venue that promises an incredible race experience. While we’ve begun the permitting process and opened registration, please note that the race location is not yet guaranteed. Factors such as cost, permitting, and other logistics are still being finalized.
In addition, we’ve moved the race date to June 7th in hopes of providing better weather conditions than in prior years. We believe this change will enhance the overall experience for all participants.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we finalize the details. Our team is committed to delivering a memorable race day and will keep you updated on any developments regarding the venue.
Thank you for your continued support—we can’t wait to see you at the starting line on June 7th, wherever it may be!
Course Details (Subject to Change):
Run Course: The run will take place on the beautiful Indian Creek Greenway and will finally be a true 5K run—no mud anywhere this year!
Bike Course: The bike course will follow the USA Paralympics Cycling Road Race course, offering a fast and exciting ride. This year, the bike segment will be slightly shorter, featuring two 7.5-mile loops for a total of 15 miles. Course maps will be available soon!
Transition Area: Transition will be located at Columbia High School, conveniently situated off Explorer Boulevard.
Stay tuned for more updates as race day approaches!
