📌Full Moon Trail Series – FAQs
📍 When and where does each event begin?

The Full Moon Trail Series races are scheduled around the nearest full moon in the summer months of June – September.

🌕 Strawberry Moon – June 10 @ Rocky River Nature Center (3 Miler)

🦌 Deer Moon – July 8 @ South Chagrin Reservation (4 Miler)

🌾 Harvest Moon – September 9 @ South Mastick Picnic Area (5 Miler & Celebration Cookout)
📝 What are the deadlines for online registration?

Each race is capped at 300 participants (225 Series Runners / 75 Individual Runners).
-
No registration deadline – events remain open until sold out.
-
No race-day registration.
💰 How much does it cost?
2025 Full Moon Trail Series Registration Opens January 1, 2025
Full Moon Trail Series (All 4 Races + More!):

Tier 1: First 100 registrants – $120

Tier 2: Registrants 101-200 – $130
-
Tier 3: Registrants 201-225 – $140
Individual Race Registration:

$28 per race (until sold out, includes race bib)
📩 Will I receive a registration confirmation?
Yes! All participants will receive a confirmation email. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
💻 Can I run virtually?
Yes! Virtual participation is available only for the Full Moon Trail Series (all 4 races).

If you’re a live event runner, you cannot submit virtual results.

If you miss a live event, you will still receive your finisher medal, but you cannot submit results online.

Virtual runners’ packets will be mailed after the first race in June.

🎟 When can I pick up my race packet?
-
First Race (June 10): Pickup is available 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM at Rocky River Nature Center.

If you miss the first race, your packet will be available at the next event.

Friends can pick up for you – just have your confirmation email handy.
⏱ How is the race timed?
-
Officially timed using MyLaps chip timing.
-
Timing chips are attached to your race bib – wear it for all 4 races.
-
Split point timing mats will be placed along the course for additional challenges.
📊 Where can I see my results?

Live results are posted in real-time at FullMoonTrailSeries.com.
🚨 What if my results are incorrect or missing?
-
If you notice an issue after results are posted, email us at Roadracing@hermescleveland.com.
🏆 Are there awards?
Yes! We offer:

Top finisher awards at each race.
-
Trail Series Awards Ceremony for the Top 12 Male & Female point scorers.
🚗 Where can I park?
-
Public lot parking is available at each trailhead race location.
-
Arrive at least 1 hour before each race (90 minutes for the first race).
🎒 Is there a bag check?

No, bag check is not available. Parking is located near the start line.
🐕 Can I bring my dog or a stroller?
-
No – Due to the limited space on the trails, dogs and strollers are not allowed.
⏳ Is there a pace requirement?
-
Yes. Due to limited time on the trails, runners must maintain a 20-minute/mile pace or faster.
💰 Refunds & Transfers
I can’t participate. Can I get a refund or transfer my entry?
-
No refunds – all registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable to the next year.

You CAN transfer your entry to another runner for free!

Transfers must be completed before the first race.

How to Transfer:

Log into RunSignUp and go to your profile.
-
Choose Refund Transfer or Gift Transfer.
-
Enter the new runner’s name & email.

Once they complete the registration, your entry is removed.

🌤 What is the weather typically like?

Northeast Ohio weather is unpredictable!

Conditions range from muddy and wet to dry and dusty.
🎒 What should I bring to the race?

⏳ How long is the course open?

For those arriving late - the Start Line remains open until 6:05 PM

Participants must maintain a 20-minute/mile pace to complete the race within the time limit (power walking pace).
