Description
Welcome to Miles for Mental Health, a virtual 5k run dedicated to promoting mental health awareness during the month of May, which is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month.
Registration for Miles for Mental Health is available exclusively through our RunSignUp link online. Participants can sign up as individuals or join a local group to complete the 5k together virtually.
Participants can run or walk their 5k at their own pace, anytime during the month of May, and log their miles on the RunSignUp platform. If you prefer to participate with a local group, check our locations tab above for a list of registered groups. Group leaders will organize a designated time to complete the 5k together virtually.
We encourage all participants to share their experience with friends and family to spread awareness about mental health. By joining us for Miles for Mental Health, you can help us raise awareness about mental health and support those affected by mental illness.
All participants who complete the 5k will receive a certificate of completion as a token of appreciation.
Thank you for joining us for Miles for Mental Health, and we look forward to seeing you virtually!
WHO WE ARE
LATINOS RUN promotes running as a way to improve the physical and mental health of the Latino community. As a minority-based organization, their goal is to highlight a community that is largely ignored when it comes to their health while inspiring more individuals of color to change the way the fitness industry looks. They celebrate diversity and aim to empower runners to “Get Inspired By The Journey”.
