Battle of the Boquet Trail and Kayak Race
Duathalon participants will continue on with the adventure race via kayak up-river to the Town of Willsboro public boat launch which is approximately 1/4 mile from the race finish line - traversable via foot.
The course follows the footsteps (towards the river's mouth) of the resident soldiers and the invasive British floatilla that traversed upstream on the Boquet River. Participants are able to experience first hand the terrain that was trekked over 250 years ago - a significant battle that participated in the molding of the Battle of Plattsburgh as it augmented "the equipping and supplying of Macdonough's new fleet of fighting ships." (Morris Glenn, Captain Daniel Pring's May 14th, 1814 - Raid on Lake Champlain)
