The half marathon course starts on the northeast exterior of the Superior Dome, goes south for a quarter mile, briefly reverses direction to enter the bike path and follows the bike path south past South Beach, the Carp River, and the Welcome Center to the turn around point prior to Green Bay Street and then follows the same route back to the Superior Dome. Participants of the 31K challenge will complete the half marathon and 10k back to back!

The 10k run course starts on the northeast exterior of the Superior Dome, goes south for a quarter mile, reverses direction to enter the bike path and follows the bike path north to Presque Isle. Runners will turn left on Peter White Drive and run to the turn around point located near the black rocks parking lot and then follow the same route back to the Superior Dome. The 5k run course starts on the northeast exterior of the Superior Dome, goes south for a quarter mile, reverses direction to enter the bike path and follows the bike path north to the turn around point at the Dead River and then follows the same route back to the Superior Dome. The leisure walk will head from the superior dome exterior, across Presque Isle Avenue to NMU's main campus! Enjoy the walk at your own pace - turnaround at the wildcat statue or whenever you feel ready to do so!

NMU Students of the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center will lead/follow the group of kids on the course, and parents are welcome to escort their little ones, as well. All kids are winners in this fun event!

Participate in Hope Starts Here even if you aren't in Marquette! Participants will receive an event t-shirt in the mail (2-3 weeks after the event). We encourage you to do a run, walk, or bike ride the day of the event and share your pictures on our Hope Starts Here Facebook page! Virtual participants are not eligible for awards or lunch. Spread the word and invite your friends from all over to virtually participate in this event to raise funds for a meaningful cause.

Purchase a mile marker to be displayed along one of our race courses.

Lunch-only option for those that wish to enjoy a Subway lunch, but will not be participating in a race.
