Please consider donating to help us have a successful school year for the cadets.
The JRTOC program's goal each year is to provide engaging instruction and life skills to assist the cadets in succeeding after high school. Providing content that keeps the cadets' attention and allows them to do things outside the classroom requires money, which is why we need donations.
Here are some of the activities we provide where we need donations:
Leadership, Drill, Cyber, and Outdoor Odyssey camps in Parris Island, SC, VA, PA, and TX.
Host a leadership camp for all the Marine Corps JROTC programs in Henrico.
4-6 field trips to places like the Oceana Air Show, a Marine Corps artillery battery in Richmond, a Naval Station base in Norfolk, VA, and Washington, D. C. Some trips require charter buses.
Host a Henrico County JROTC ball.
Our color guard presents the American and Marine Corps flags for the community at approximately 35 ceremonies.
Our drill, marksmanship, and academic teams must compete outside Virginia in places like GA, SC, Washington D. C., and VA. The trips can require a charter bus and hotel for approximately 40 cadets.
Provide 1500 hours of community service.
Our goal is not to charge the cadets for activities or meals when doing things outside of the classroom. The only way the program can do so is through donations. The donations pay for field trips, team competitions, meals, charter buses, hotels, school and special events supplies, exercise equipment, uniforms, and scholarships. Please donate what you can so the cadets can take advantage of many opportunities at no cost.
