Childhood obesity affects over 9 million children ages 6-19 and it is the leading cause of Type II Diabetes in children and later, adults. Children who are obese have a greater chance of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, asthma, and liver disease. Over 70% of overweight teens become overweight or obese adults in this country.

That's why Marathon Kids is so important.  The vision at Marathon Kids is for all kids to be active and healthy for a lifetime.  Through your contribution, we can reach these kids early in their school years and have a lasting impact on their lives.
