We are excited to partner with Peers Together of Wyoming County, Inc. as our charity partner for the Serpent's Shadow.
Peers Together of Wyoming County, Inc. is an agency run for people with mental health concerns in rural Wyoming County, dedicated to improving life and recovery through personal choice and community involvement.
All of our staff are peers or family members. The definition of a Peer, is someone who is of the same rank, value, quality or ability, or someone with similar experiences.
Sometimes it is helpful to talk to someone with similar experiences when dealing with the struggles of living with mental illness.
They accomplish all of this through all of the programs they offer that include: Peer Advocacy, Peer Support Line, Peer Wheels, Circle of Friends Social Club, Peer Wheels Medical, Support and Educational Groups and Peers on the Move. Most of their funding come from their Hearts and Hands Together Shop which also trains people with mental illness vocational skills to get back into the workforce.
