A2Z Race at Your Pace

For more than four decades, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. have partnered with the March of Dimes to fight for the health of all moms and babies. The funds we raise help support research, programs, education, and advocacy needed to give all babies the best possible start. Our goal this year is to donate $20,000. 

Approximately half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely or with birth defects each year. These babies face a greater likelihood of death or disability or lifelong health conditions. But you can help now!!!

On behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Upsilon Zeta Chapter, we proudly announce that our 4th Annual Race at Your Pace/Walk will be held at Methodist University at 8 a.m. on June 1, 2024. 

Since starting the race two years ago, we have donated more than $32,500 to the March of Dimes March for Babies and cape Fear Valley medical Center (NICU). Although we are proud of our achievement, there is still much work to do to support health equity for all mothers and babies. Sadly, the U.S. remains one of the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth and prematurity. 

We hope you will join us by donating to this worthy cause. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000. We will donate half of the money raised to the March of Dimes and the other half to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. With your help, we can reach our goal and positively affect mothers and their babies.
