                                                                THE LAKE HODGES TRAIL RUNS & OFF ROAD RUN | BIKE | RUN

is an annual trail running experience you don't want to miss. We offer something for the whole family to enjoy. Choose from the Lake Hodges 50K, 15K, 10k, 5k, and bring the kids for the the 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run!

 50K is a great introduction into ultra marathons, ideal for all running levels.

 15K is a beautiful courses for exploring new trails and accomplishing race goals.

 10K course challenges the runner with a 1,000ft gain but with a beautiful reward of the view from the summit of Bernardo Mountain Peak.

 5K is an old favorite with a new twist, exploring the lakes shore. Great for a quick run or walk.

 Stroller Trail 5K a new way to run on the trails with your little one.

The Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run is open to children 10 and younger. This is a non-timed run. All kids receive a finisher’s medal and other treats.

 Off Road Challenge Run | Bike | Run is our NEW experience to a weekend of racing. Challenge yourself and compete as and INDIVIDUAL or bring friends along for the challenge and compete as a TEAM.

We are a CUPLESS race series. Please make sure to bring some form of hydration vessel to carry hydration for your event. There will not be cups provided at aid stations.

OFF-ROAD DUATHLON RUN | BIKE | RUN

Welcome our newest edition to our Lake Hodges Trail Fest Experience an OFF ROAD CHALLENGE as you Run->Bike->Run your way to the Finish around Lake Hodges. Our combined mileage of 23 miles will be sure to give you an experience to remember.

PRE RACE | 6:50 AM

RACE START | 7:00 AM

INDIVIDUALLY challenge yourself and complete the Run | Bike | Run course as a total time of completion.

TEAM enjoy a truly memorable experience with 2-3 friends and complete the Run | Bike | Run as a team. Each team member completes one of the legs. A team time will be recorded.

APPROVED TYPE OF BIKES you may use the following types of bikes to register: Road Bike, Mountain Bike, Gravel Bike, Hybrid Bike, E-Bike.

PACKET PICK UP

PACKET PICK UP OPTIONS

OPTION #1: Pre-Race Packet Pick Up: Will be located at Milestone Running Store (North Park Location Only) from Tuesday October 12th- Thursday October 14th 12:00pm - 6:00pm Enjoy 15% while you shop as a registered runner and support our local running shop. You will receive your bib and shirt.

* WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SHOP LOCAL AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RUNNING STORE BY PICKING UP YOUR PACKET.

OPTION #2: Race Day Packet Pick Up:  Will be available. Early Check in begins at 5:30 am. Please arrive 1 hour prior to your start time to check in. You will receive your bib, finisher shirt, race swag.

 

**There will be no parking, or stopping/waiting at the start line to pick up your packet, please proceed to the parking area, and then walk over to retrieve your items.

** LOCK YOUR VEHICLES AND SECURE ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS THIS IS PUBLIC PARKING

There are 4 primary parking locations for the Lake Hodges Trail Runs. There is NO event parking at the Start/Finish.

Parking lot “A” holds a very small number of vehicles, so it will fill up very quickly. Parking lot “B” holds about 80 vehicles. Once parking lot “B” has reached capacity, the remainder of cars will be directed to Parking Lots “C” and “D.” If you do not want to wait in line to get in to parking lot “B” you are welcome to park in lots “C” and “D” upon arrival. It’s a very short walk to the check-in and Start/Finish.

5K runners and Kid’s Run participants should park in lots “C” & “D” unless arriving early for other distance events.

*ATTENTION: To make parking easier for everyone, we ask that you please carpool if possible. It will make your lives easier, our lives easier, and it’s just better for the planet which means greener trails for everyone!

AID STATIONS

Please note that this is a CUPLESS event, so make sure to bring some form of hydration vessel the day of! 

Full Aid Station will be supplied with typical eats for this level of race: GU, Blocks, soda, some salty, sweet, and chewy snacks at the 15K, 10K, 5K aid stations. The 50K aid stations will have turkey/ham wraps, avocados, fruit, and other heavier "snacks". We will of course have water and some electrolyte replenishment. If you have dietary or allergy restrictions please make sure that you are prepared with your own snacks as needed.

**Please note that each aid station has approximate mileage based on mapping programs, and may differ a bit from each person's watch, app, or other tracking devices.

WHAT IS THE CUT OFF TIMES? All distances have until 3:00pm to finish the event. 

CAN I DROP DOWN A DISTANCE? Yes, you can drop down in distance the weeks leading up to race day and at race registration the morning of the race. 

ARE THERE REFUNDS? No, there are no refunds. Please refer to our Refund/Deferral Policies on our website.

WHAT IF I GET INJURED TRAINING? Please review our deferral policy on our website: https://www.elevationculture.com/events

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED? No, strollers are not allowed on the trails except the Stroller Trail 5k event.

IS THIS A CUP LESS RACE? Yes, cups will NOT be provided at this sustainably conscious event at any aid stations.

ARE THERE DROP BAGS? Yes, 50k only may use a drop bag only at designated location.

ARE THERE BATHROOMS ON COURSE? We provide Port-a-Toilets at the Start Finish. The Park maintains several Port-a-Toilets along the trail and may be available.

ARE THERE AWARDS? Yes, awards will be giving out to the top 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male/Female runners in the 50k | 15K | 10k | 5k. No Awards for Stroller 5k

ARE DOGS ALLOWED? No, Pets are allowed at this event.

ARE PACERS ALLOWED? No, pacers are not allowed at this event. You may be disqualified from the race if this is observed by our race staff.

CAN I SIGN UP ON RACE DAY? No, this event is SOLD OUT. 

WHEN WILL RESULTS BE POSTED? Our timing company will have live results to view. Official results will be available 2-4 days post race.

WHEN WILL PHOTOS BE POSTED? Race Day photos will be available for purchase 5-10 days post race.

OFF ROAD CHALLENGE RUN | BIKE | RUN

DO I NEED TO WEAR A HELMET? Yes, you must wear an approved helmet during the entire bike leg.

CAN WE MIX AND MATCH TEAMS? Yes, all are welcome to join a team. You may sign up as a mixed team our a combination of individuals.

WHAT TYPE OF BIKE IS REQUIRED? You may choose to use: Mountain Bike, Gravel Bike, Hybrid Bike. * NO ELECTRIC BIKES

ARE THERE AWARDS FOR TEAM/INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES? There will be awards for the following categories: Team, Individual, Mountain Bike, Gravel, Hybrid Bike

IS THE EVENT CHIPPED TIMED? The event is chipped timed. Transitions are not accounted for. This is a continues chip time.
