Description
Located in beautiful Goose Pond Colony Resort at 417 Ed Hembree Drive in Scottsboro, AL, the Racing Rivals Triathlon is a sprint distance tri that raises funds for college scholarships. The event is hosted by the Huntsville-area alumni chapters of Auburn University, Mississippi State University and the University of Alabama. The funds raised by this event will be split by the chapters based on the affiliation designated by each race participant during registration.
In addition to the exciting individual competition, there will be a "rivalry" competition between the fans of each school and the winning chapter will receive bragging rights for the next year. This will be an exciting competitive atmosphere with the thrill of the race and the anticipation of being on the eve of football season!

Swim Course
The race will originate from the dock located in the beach area of Goosepond Colony Resort. The swim will be a rectangular-ish swim ending at the beach area and entering transition.
Bike Course
The bike leg will exit Goosepond Colony Resort and turn north onto Hwy 79 to Goosepond Drive and turn around after a tour through Goosepond Island Drive. This bike route is easy on the legs and could mean some fast times.

The run is an out and back leaving transition and feeding through the shady paved trails on the resort.
