FAQs

Do I need to sign up or pay to join?
  •  Group runs are always free - but participants must register online before attending the first group run of the season. 
     
  • This is for easy access to emergency contacts, updates via text and email notifications & discounts for events & giveaways.
What are the dates?
  •  The first group run begins Thursday, June 6 and runs every Thursday through September 26. 
What time do we start?
  • Arrive/Check-in: 6:00pm-6:20pm
  • Warmup begins 6:25pm
  • Run begins 6:30pm
When will we normally be done? 
  • Most workouts/runs are done by 7:15pm-7:20pm. Occasionally the full hour till 7:30pm.
Is there a pace requirement? 
  • No - many participants will come to walk/jog the entire workout. If you are new to running, this is a great group to get started with! If you are an experienced runner, there will still be some speedy runners at your pace.
What should I expect?
  •  Runners will be lead in a dynamic warmup/stretch for 5-10 minutes followed by a run or a body strength workout. Runs & workouts will range in distance from 2-5 miles and paces from 7-16 min/mile avg. Each workout builds upon the previous week and are modified to fit individual abilities. 
Cancellation Policy
  • In the rare event that a run is canceled, all participants will receive an email notification by 5:00 PM on the day of the run.
  • If no cancellation email is sent, the run will proceed as scheduled, and participants are encouraged to attend at their own discretion.
  • Runs are rarely canceled due to rain. However, severe thunderstorms may result in cancellation. If stormy weather is expected, please check your email for updates.
Where can I park?
  •  Most runners will park at the FREE parking lot DOCK 32 behind the First Energy Stadium. This lot can be accessed by cutting through the walkway along the Science Center and across the new pedestrian bridge. This lot is only available for individuals who print and display the parking pass on their dash. This pass is emailed once you initially register for the Run Club. Runners also park along Erieside Ave./Alfred Lerner Way, as metered parking is FREE after 6:00pm. Runners will always be able to purchase a parking pass to park right on 9th St. Pier, as needed.
 
Good to Know
  • A secure Gear Check is available on-site for storing personal items during the workout.
  • Many participants join to walk or jog the entire session and learn more about running—walkers are always welcome!
  • Running paces typically range from 7 to 15 minutes per mile.
  • Bring properly fitted athletic shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and an ID/credit card for any optional post-run fun.
  • Headphones, dogs, and strollers are all welcome!
  • Come solo or bring a friend.
