We are hosting another 6 week training program in preparation for our 4th Annual Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28! Everyone is invited to join VARRA for this free program as we run/walk our way to the race. You don't have to be a member of VARRA to come run with us (although you can get discounts on VARRA sponsored runs if you become a member).
This 6 week program begins on Monday, October 14 at the Memorial Stadium Track and will end on race day, Thursday, November 28. The program consists of 3 weekly workouts, all of which involve a combination of running and walking intervals so no running experience is needed!
We understand that is can be scary to begin running, and we want to make it as fun as possible by emphasizing that the runs are done at your own pace! There is no pressure except to come out and have fun and move your body.

Weekly workouts:
Mondays: 6:30 PM at Memorial Stadium Track
Wednesdays: 6:30 PM at Riverside Stadium Parking Lot
Saturdays: 7:30 AM at Riverside Stadium Parking Lot
This time around, we will be offering 2 training programs: a beginner plan and an intermediate plan. The beginner plan is geared towards those who are still easing into running while the intermediate plan is for those who have a done a few training cycles with us and want to challenge themselves! There is no "better" plan between the 2; it is simply what works best for you.
