Meet Our Coaches

Coach Liz Loycano,
I have been a physical therapist at Finger Lakes Health for the last 6 years, treating members of the community with orthopedic and pelvic floor concerns. I’ve loved running since high school, and since moving to the Finger Lakes, I have participated in the Cubby Chase, Corporate Challenge, Seneca 7, and Women’s Right to Run. I also love to be in the garden, and then cook interesting things with my produce. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, learning your goals, and sharing my favorite stretches with you!

Coach Barb Belliveau, RRCA certified coach
I am a Registered Nurse working in LTC at Finger Lakes Health. I never thought I could be a runner, but about 8 years ago, in my 40’s, I challenged myself to run a 5K. I started slow, mostly walking, but gradually worked up to a 5K, which led to a 10K, followed by a 15K and a half-marathon. Running helps me stay in shape, reduces stress, and continues to challenge me. I’m looking forward to helping everyone cross that finish line, whatever your goal and motivation.

Coach Kim Lamoy,
Hi all! I am a Rehab Aide/CNA working for Finger Lakes Health at the Huntington Living Center. I have always been into health and fitness all my life. I really got into the 5ks after having my second child. My first race was a Turkey Trot about 12 years ago. I have since participated in the Cubby Chase 5k and the 10k, Waterloo Tribute to the Fallen 5k, J.P Morgan Corporate Challenge as well as running around Seneca Lake for the Seneca 7 (2xs!) I love motivating others and seeing them succeed! I am excited for us all to get together and see what kind of fun we can have! See you all soon.

Coach Sherry Saxby,
I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, I work in the Transitional Care Program of Finger Lakes Health. I have worked in the department for over 5 years. This is my second career, first being dairy farming. I have always been on the run in general because of my occupations. I have completed many 5K/10K’s including the Cubby Chase, the Corporate Challenge, Seneca Seven, half marathons, obstacle events and even a 5 mile snowshoe race. I enjoy being outside no matter what the weather is and I enjoy encouraging people to do the same. This is a great opportunity to meet, encourage, and see you all cross the finish line.

Coach Kathy Ryrko,
My occupation is child care center director and you’d think spending your days with young children is motivation to be on the run, but I discovered my inner-athlete at age 50. I was athletic in my younger days but definitely not in mid-life. My interest in running began when we decided to hold a 5K race as fundraising event. I saw women my age crossing the finish line & it looked like so much fun! So I started off walking & then gradually built up to running. My first 5K was the It’s a Wonderful Run; and I was hooked! I entered every race in the region & some out of the region, distances from 5K, 10K, 13.1 & 77.7 relay. I called it “research” paying attention to every detail with the goal of making our Cubby Chase a quality event.
