One year and 4 disaster relief missions later, I am thankful to be a part of this group helping others who are forgotten and lending a continual helping hand to our veterans. As a veteran myself, having felt purposeless after being medically discharged, this organization offered a mission after service and a way to “get off the couch.”
Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is a national non-profit founded and headquartered in Rogers, Arkansas, that provides charitable services benefiting the overall well-being of our nation’s “Sheep Dogs” (Veterans, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, and EMS personnel) through Get Off The Couch™ programming. SDIA exists to engage, assist and empower our nation’s heroes through Outdoor Adventures (physical activity), Warrior PATHH training (mental wellness) and Continued Service/Disaster Response (volunteerism) programs.
