I am excited to participate in the 38th Annual The Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation!

It's had to believe that it will be three years since Marty's death next week, but here we are...

 At 5:25 am on March 21st, 2022 my wife, with tears streaming down her face, woke me up to tell me that our brother-in-law Martin Mack, a Pennsylvania State Trooper, was killed in the line of duty. Needless to say, our lives, and much more significantly, the lives of Marty’s family changed forever. In the wake of the tragedy, The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation helped my sister-in-law and her two daughters immediately, and continue to do so, by establishing educational funds for the girls and providing opportunities for the girls to honor their father. In a perfect world, a charity such as the FBBCF wouldn’t be needed; However, all to often they are. For that reason, I’m riding to honor Marty, and to support the FBBCF because they supported Stephanie and our nieces during this difficult time.

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs) and cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve.
