Teal Diva 5k for Gynecologic Cancers

As many of you know my sister-in-law Deidre was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2023.  She has been battling this beast for almost two years.  It’s a devastating horrible disease that sneaks up on you fast and hard. Deidre is a warrior fighting it every day. I am amazed and awed by the strength she possesses.  

She is walking in the Teal Diva 5k and has started a team. On May 3, 2025 I will join her, family, friends, and  hundreds of community members as we raise our voices against gynecologic cancers. 

In 2025, it is estimated that over 114,810 women will be diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer and over 34,200 will die as a result of the diseases. We can all make a difference in the fight against gynecologic cancers.
