Registration Table High Priority

Your smiling face will be the first our racers see when they arrive and we want to make sure you feel comfortable and excited to serve in the Registration Tent!
Upon arrival, you'll be briefed by the Volunteer Director on procedures & FAQs. You will be handing out Bibs & T-shirts as runners arrive. Perks include spending the day in the shade, meeting lots of dogs/runners, a Volunteer Tee, & 1 comp beverage ticket.

Obstacle Monitor Medium Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

As an obstacle monitor, you will ensure safety while cheering on racers as they complete the obstacle. Upon arrival, you will be assigned an obstacle and directed to its location on 5k course. You will be provided an info lanyard to wear, listing contact information of Safety Director and procedure to follow in case of an injury/emergency. After you are stationed at your obstacle you will be responsible for ensuring racers are attempting the obstacle in a safe manner, which may include; cheering racers & dogs, answering any questions asked about how to conquer the obstacle, making sure no dogs are being forced to complete an obstacle against their will, and bringing any issues to the attention of the Safety Director. *Please note, during the competitive waves, if an owner and/or their dog are not able to complete an obstacle, they must step to a designated area off course and complete 30 squats. Racers are allowed to attempt an obstacle as many times as they like, as long as they're not holding up others. Perks of being an obstacle volunteer include: being a memorable part of each racer's experience, a Volunteer Tee, and 1 comp beverage ticket.

Water Stop Attendant Medium Priority

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

The Water Stop Attendants will be responsible for filling up water cups and keeping dog bowls full for when the racers pass by. If running low on water or experiencing another type of emergency, you will have a lanyard listing correct safety protocol, the Safety Director's phone number, and emergency contact information. You will be in view of at least one obstacle and may enjoy watching the racers conquer the challenge. Perks include cheering runners, complimentary water, a Volunteer Tee & 1 comp beverage ticket.

Dog Wash & Dry Station High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Post-race, people will need to wash their muddy shoes & paws off at this station. You will be responsible for assisting if needed and ensuring functionality.

"Bark"tender at 'The Watering Hole' Dog Hydration Bar Low Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

You will be responsible for ensuring our custom-made dog water fountain/bar works to quench thirsty dogs after they complete the race! No worries, it's easy! Water will spray out of the custom taps when you show the pups how to step on the lever. Also, you'll want to make sure the kiddie pools nearby the bar stay full and reasonably clean.

Clean-up Crew High Priority

Details

One of the most helpful positions for our event! Need volunteers to walk a portion of the 5k course and pick up any trash or signage that has been left and dispose in the designated trash bins or sign drop-off points.
