Every kid needs a hero, but CASA kids need superheroes. That’s why I’m raising money for CASA of Lexington!
“Joey” needed a superhero. He had been removed from his home due to neglect, and his new caregivers had trouble dealing with his bad behaviors. But Joey’s CASA volunteer saw beyond his behavior and told the court what no one else recognized—he was hard of hearing. Thanks to the CASA volunteer’s advocacy, Joey's caregivers can now better meet his needs. And as a result, Joey behaves like a completely different kid. All it took was someone to pay attention.
My goal is to help provide a CASA volunteer to another abused child like Joey. Let's make it happen!
